The Tipton Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course, designed by Bill Diddel, a renowned golf course architect. The first nine holes were completed in 1936 as part of a WPA (Works Progress Administration) project. In 1965, the city acquired land to expand the course to 18 holes. Diddle was the architect of the back nine as well, and play commenced on the new addition in June of 1967.
